We are seeking a people-focused Coordinator to support our team members, including volunteers, across the Shoalhaven and Illawarra region. Job Description: As a Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily operations and activities. You will be responsible for coordinating various tasks, managing schedules, and supporting team members including our volunteers to achieve our goals. Your excellent communication and organisational skills will be essential in this role.
As a Coordinator, you'll be the go-to support for our frontline teams. You'll build strong relationships, help staff and volunteers thrive, and ensure our services run smoothly and professionally. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with people, problem-solving on the fly, and supporting a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day support, guidance, and leadership to volunteers and paid staff.
· Build strong relationships with team members, clients, and community partners.
· Identify training and development needs and support team growth.
· Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe environment for all team members.
· Assist with onboarding, documentation, service quality and compliance.
· Troubleshoot issues and help staff and volunteers feel confident in their roles.
· Coordinate and manage daily activities to ensure timely completion.
· Coordinate and support team with service deliverables
· Support the volunteers and team members
· Assist in the planning and execution of events and meetings.
· Maintain and update service documentation and records.
· Communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure effective services delivered to clients
· Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, client management, and data entry.
Essential skills:
· Proven experience in a people coordination or team leader role.
· Ability to lead by example with a person-centred focus
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Experience in working with coordinating Volunteers
