The role
Customer Service Assistant – Southern Offices (Hobart)
We are seeking two Customer Service Assistants for vacancies within our Southern Offices. The positions will commence in January.
Position One – Permanent, Part‐Time (58 hrs fortnightly)
Location: Collins St Office.
Schedule: Monday‐Friday 9:00‐15:00 and every second Monday 9:00‐17:00.
Position Two – Fixed‐Term, Part‐Time (40 hrs fortnightly)
Location: Glenorchy Office.
Schedule: Monday‐Friday 10:00‐14:00.
Responsibilities
- Transfer and direct customer and employee phone calls to appropriate staff in accordance with operational processes.
- Maintain the quality of customer service by tracking queries using databases and systems.
- Provide administrative support as required.
- Deliver face‐to‐face customer service to clients, stakeholders and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all customer and employee information and data.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to provide the level of customer engagement expected in the role, including effective liaison with diverse internal and external customers and clients.
- Listening skills to accurately assess issues for referral or resolution within scope.
- Resilience and ability to deal with difficult customers and situations.
- Experience in environments where information is sensitive, personal and/or confidential.
- Energetic, positive and productive work style while adhering to regulatory policy and procedures.
- Experience working in a fast‐paced contact/service centre using contemporary office technology and equipment.
- Basic knowledge and adherence to work health and safety legislative obligations.
Required Certifications & Clearances
- Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current National Police Check (no older than 12 months) for unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people.
- International Police Check if previously resided for 12 months or more outside Australia after age 16.
- Anglicare‐assessed medical clearance.
- Current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
