**About the team**: 
The Capability and Workforce Planning team deliver a range of functions related to learning and development, performance management, workforce planning and Human Resources reporting to ensure a high level of performance within the Department and preparedness to meet future needs.
The team is responsible for:
- strategically defining capability and performance frameworks 
- developing, maintaining and advising on related policies 
- providing department-wide corporate learning and development services 
- measuring capability across the organisation and determining existing or new learning programs to address identified gaps 
- providing specialised learning advice through the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of department-wide corporate learning solutions 
- administering the department's learning management system.

**What you will do**: 
The Learning Advisor will deliver high quality learning and development projects within DISR, including practical implementation of and reporting on Learning & Development (L&D;) initiatives. The Learning Advisor acts as an enabler delivering on strategic capability requirements of a diverse department.
Key responsibilities include:
- developing digital learning products and project managing the end-to-end process of the development within timeframes 
- creating complex course frameworks that support blended learning solutions comprising digital learning, face to face learning, assessments and evaluations 
- managing the implementation of learning programs including developing plans and artefacts for communications, learning, and evaluations 
- liaising with external training service providers, from procurement through to delivery, to ensure training offerings align with the needs of the department 
- providing guidance and advice in the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning and development including building e-learning, face to face, and digital learning capability in the department 
- assisting with operational and procedural evaluations and assessment and policy reviews 
- contributing to the development of innovative L&D; strategies and projects 
- keeping up to date with APS-wide strategies and best practices in L&D; to ensure the department consistently meet service-wide expectations
**Eligibility**: 
**Notes**: 
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Experience in e-learning authoring tools is also highly desirable.
