We’re looking for an experienced Plant Manager to oversee fleet, assets and equipment at their plant yard based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Operations Manager you’ll manage plant performance, availability and utilisation to support delivery across projects. Working closely with project teams, workshop crews and suppliers, you’ll coordinate plant allocation, maintenance and procurement. You’ll ensure the right machinery and equipment is available when needed, keeping projects moving and minimising downtime. Plant performance sits at its core. You’ll drive utilisation, manage costs and ensure maintenance programs are in place and followed. Organised, practical and solutions-focused, you’ll play a critical role in supporting safe, efficient project delivery. You’ll be trusted with: Managing plant and equipment across multiple civil construction projects Coordinating plant allocation, utilisation and availability across active sites Planning plant requirements with project teams to support delivery outcomes Overseeing maintenance schedules, servicing and compliance requirements Managing breakdowns and minimising downtime across plant and equipment Managing plant costs including hire, procurement and supplier performance Building and maintaining relationships with plant hire and service providers Supporting procurement and mobilisation of plant across new and existing projects Ensuring plant meets safety, quality and operational compliance standards Maintaining accurate plant records, registers and reporting across the fleet What’s in your toolbox? Proven experience managing plant and equipment in civil construction environments Strong understanding of heavy plant, fleet operations and equipment utilisation Experience overseeing maintenance programs, servicing and plant compliance Ability to manage breakdowns and minimise downtime across active projects Commercial awareness across plant costs, hire, procurement and budgeting Confident working with project teams, suppliers and service providers You’re the kind of person who takes ownership of plant performance and follows things through.
