Roadcraft Driver Education is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) based in Gympie, QLD, with a strong commitment to road safety. We facilitate safe, low-risk, defensive driver education programs for government, corporate, school and public participants.

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Administration Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis in Gympie. This is a key role within the organisation providing comprehensive administrative and financial support while contributing to the overall performance and professionalism of Roadcraft. You will work closely with the CEO, while also providing Administration support to the Operations Manager and Board. While this role is best suited to an experienced Administration Officer, comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to ensure a strong understanding of Roadcraft's systems and operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Administration Officer provides a broad range of administration, finance and customer service duties, with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism. This role suits someone who thrives in a varied position, can manage competing priorities, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a small close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

Administration & Finance

* Process creditor invoices and weekly payments using Reckon Accounts
* Invoicing
* Assist with monthly financial reporting and journal entries
* Provide backup support for payroll functions
* Maintain registers, filing systems, archives and records
* Assist with website maintenance
* Assist with reports, correspondence and complex documents as required
* Assist with various other administration duties and organisational projects

Driver Education and RTO Admin Support

* Assist with compliance against RTO standards and ASQA requirements, and associated reporting
* Prepare course materials, certificates and training documentation
* Scan and distribute completed course documentation and feedback

Board & Governance Support

* Prepare documentation for monthly Board meetings and the AGM
* Attend Board meetings (after hours) and take accurate notes for minutes
* Maintain relevant governance records

Customer Service & Reception (secondary duties as required)

* Greet visitors and manage phone and email enquiries
* Take course bookings and manage client communications
* Process EFTPOS, cash sales and gift certificates
* Provide professional, friendly front-of-house support when relieving reception

About You

You will bring a positive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service. You'll appreciate the variety that comes with working in a small organisation and be happy to roll up your sleeves to support the organisation's day-to-day functions, wherever needed.

Essential Requirements

* Current driver's licence
* Blue Card for working with children and young people (or eligibility to obtain)

* Willingness to develop sound knowledge of the benefits of Roadcraft's Driver education suite to pass onto prospective clients (on the job training provided)

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong customer service focus
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Sound typing skills
* Experience with Reckon Accounts (or willingness and aptitude to learn, or experience in similar accounting programs)
* Understanding of GST compliance
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
* Respect for confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Remuneration

This position is covered by the Clerks – Private Sector Award. The commencing rate will be negotiated based on the skills and experience the incumbent brings to the role.
