We are looking for a hands-on Workshop Leading Hand to support our Workshop Supervisor in keeping operations running smoothly, maintaining high standards, and getting the best out of the team. You?ll play a key role on the floor?coordinating jobs, assisting technicians, and helping ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step into or grow within a leadership role, with the backing and guidance of an experienced Workshop Supervisor and Operational Manager.

Roster
* Monday - Friday Roster
* 6am - 4pm Daily Shifts
* On call responsibilities as per operational requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily workshop activities alongside the team
* Assist with repairs, servicing, and complex diagnostics
* Allocate jobs, set priorities, and keep work flowing
* Support apprentices and technicians with guidance and hands-on help
* Participate in breakdowns, callouts, and on-call roster
Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade-qualified with substantial hands-on experience in Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics
* Demonstrated leadership ability, preferably in a workshop or similar environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and practical knowledge of diagnostics and complex repairs.
* Ability to prioritise workload effectively and support team members.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Committed to safety and compliance in all aspects of workshop operations.
What Are We Looking For?
* Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated experience in a workshop supervisory or senior trade role
* HR Licence (preferred)
* Strong understanding of compliance requirements and maintenance practices
* Strong leadership and people skills
* Solid technical knowledge and problem-solving ability
* A proactive, can-do attitude with great organisation skills
* Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
