Family and Community Counselling Service Leader

This key leadership role combines service oversight, contract management, and stakeholder engagement to guide a collaborative team delivering Individual, Family Counselling and Employee Assistance Program services within the North Queensland region.

As a seasoned leader in counselling, EAP or social service settings, you will leverage your expertise to provide strategic and operational guidance across individual, family, and employee counselling services. You will also build strong relationships with employers, community partners, and local networks to grow EAP service reach.

* Provide visionary leadership and operational direction for a dynamic team of qualified practitioners.
* Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and expansion of our services.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders to promote our services and achieve organisational objectives.
* Monitor programme performance in line with funding agreements and compliance requirements.


About This Role

To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, along with significant leadership experience in a counselling, EAP, or social service setting. You must demonstrate a strong understanding of government funding contracts and reporting requirements, as well as experience developing staff and managing multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, a values-based leadership style that fosters team wellbeing and ethical practice, and a willingness to travel to regional sites.
