About the Role:
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to manage our compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
The Compliance Manager will have a strong understanding of the rules & regulations governing legal practice, with previous experience in a similar environment being essential.
The role involves managing our risk & compliance policy and register, filing of Annual Returns, auditing and updating of the company staff handbook, as well as maintaining Lexcel accreditation.

Responsibilities:
* SRA Handbook & Code of Conduct Management
* Renewal of Practising Certificates
* Anti-Money Laundering Oversight
* Health & Safety Responsibility
* Data Protection Governance
* Risk Assessment and Management
* Supporting the COLP & COFA
* Training all staff on risk & compliance updates
* Filing of Annual Returns and other Companies House Registrations
* Day to day focus on regulatory risk & compliance as set out by the SRA
* Ensuring file reviews are completed
* Induction and training for new employees on mandatory risk & compliance

Requirements:
* Previous experience in a compliance environment
* Exceptional attention to detail and methodical approach to work, with ability to adhere to strict deadlines
* Professional telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills
* Capability to handle pressure and effectively prioritise tasks whilst managing a demanding workload
