Job Description
The position will commence in August 2026, with the initial contract lasting two years and being renewable.
Responsibilities
- Student Management: Manage and monitor the learning and behavior of students in the classroom to ensure academic progress and behavior are in line with school regulations. Monitor students' academic progress, pay attention to their mental health, and provide necessary support and guidance.
- Parent Communication: Maintain positive communication with parents and hold regular parent meetings to share students' development and answer parents' concerns.
- Curriculum Monitoring: Monitor and support the educational process within the classroom to ensure curriculum implementation is effectively executed. Collaborate with the teaching team to promote subject development and improve teaching quality.
- Activity Participation: Actively participate in student-related in‑school and out‑of‑school activities to promote teamwork and student engagement.
- Behaviour Management: Manage behaviour within the classroom, formulate and implement appropriate behaviour policies, ensure compliance with school rules and foster a positive school culture.
- Academic Monitoring: Track students' academic performance through subject tests and grades and take steps to help those needing extra support.
- Parent Conferences: Participate in regular parent conferences to share student development and school updates with parents.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other classroom teachers, faculty and staff, and participate in coordination of the school administration to ensure smooth operation of the school.
- Intercultural Communication: Facilitate intercultural communication among students and actively participate in cultural activities to enhance understanding and respect for multiculturalism, diversity and inclusion.
- Cultural Adaptation: Assist international students in adapting to local culture by providing cultural adaptation guidance and addressing challenges.
- This includes but is not limited to the job functions involved with the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above (major in education preferred)
- More than 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Play‑based education experience
- The ability to work cooperatively and supportively with all members of staff
- Experience with IB (desirable but not essential)
