We're seeking a confident, experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager who recognises that culture is key whilst being able to translate strategy into action and foster a positive, high-performing culture where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
As the Human Resources Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping our people strategy and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the employee experience with the ultimate goal of employee empowerment, engagement and success
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
• Creating programs to foster a positive work environment for every single employee
• Responsible for all recruitment within the hotel
• Welcoming and onboarding new members of staff
• Developing creative ways to inspire and motivate the team to provide exceptional guest experiences
• Managing employee records and ensuring compliance with relevant employee laws, policies and procedures
• Provide advice and direction on IR/ER related matters
• Manage performance improvement processes
• Partner with General Manager and line management to provide HR support and educate and train on HR disciplines to foster productivity and enhance performance
• Maintain the Human Resources department budget and control expenses
• Monitor staffing to manage costs
• Work with department managers to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience.
• Research and investigate all workplace issues to discover facts, identify potential risks to the hotel or company, and facilitate resolution through your employee relations programs
• Collect and maintain data from exit interviews, turnover statistics, absenteeism reports to identify trends, training needs, and supervisory issues
• Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
What we need from you
• High school diploma, secondary education or equivalent
• 3 years' related experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Some college courses in Human Resources, Employment Law or related field preferred.
• Must speak fluent English
• Other languages may be preferred
