About the Role
You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy programs in the participant’s home, school, or community.
This role is hands-on, varied, and suited to someone who enjoys being out in the community and making a real difference.
Key duties include:
- Implementing OT-designed therapy programs (ADLs, life skills, routines, sensory strategies, social skills)
- Supporting children, teens and adults with varied disabilities and complex needs
- Running practical sessions such as cooking, hygiene routines, shopping, motor skills, organisation, and community access
- Documenting session notes and communicating progress to the supervising OT
- Encouraging independence, motivation and confidence during activities
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient and enthusiastic
- Confident working independently in a community/mobile role
- Excellent at building rapport with clients and families
- Organised, reliable and able to follow delegated therapy plans
- Willing to learn and receive supervision and support
Requirements
Essential
- Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance OR currently studying OT (2nd year+)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Driver’s licence + reliable car (mileage reimbursed)
- Ability to write transparent notes and follow clinical direction
Highly Desirable
- Experience with disability, community support or therapy programs
- Understanding of the NDIS is a bonus (not essential – training provided)
