CCS has an opportunity for an exceptional full time maintenance person to join us at Carinya House, Glenhaven.
You'll take pride in the presentation of a well-maintained home and join a team of dedicated and caring individuals that are enriching and celebrating residents' lives everyday
In this busy role you'll:
* Use your can-do, collaborative approach to ensure the presentation of the home is of the highest standard
* Enjoy the variety of working both inside and outside, the challenge of a multitude of different tasks and the opportunity of getting to know residents as you support them with their maintenance requirements
* Have good attention to detail, the ability to co-ordinate the maintenance program and excellent
* record keeping in this interesting role where your general handy skills are highly valued
To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate the following:
* Prior experience in general building maintenance and landscape maintenance.
* Formal Trade Qualifications or practical work experience, demonstrating basic trade skills.
* Proven "hands-on" interaction experience in service-based industry (preferably the aged).
* Exceptional organisational skills - be able to respond to maintenance requests in an efficient manner
* able to maintain registers and maintenance audits
* Highly motivated
* Can work within a team environment
* Promote safety by following organisational WHS requirements and guidelines;
* Communicate respectfully with all individuals including clients, representatives, staff and the community.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by involvement in staff meetings, planning days, and feedback mechanisms;
* Actively participate in education and training requirements;
* Other duties as requested by the manager.
* Driver License or if applicable MR Bus license required (and maintained)
