The Opportunity:
We are recruiting Tour Guides to join our team on a casual basis to deliver unforgettable experiences from beginning to end. We have roles for both experienced guides and new trainees. We will consider candidates of all experience levels for this role, provided you are willing to organise the necessary prerequisites.
The role involves driving and guiding tour groups (up to 24 people) from Darwin to Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks, as well as Arnhem Land. There may also be an opportunity to guide in the Kimberley region. The exciting itineraries include camping under the stars and cooking camp oven meals. This is a diverse role that requires a love for the outdoors, attention to detail, problem solving skills, high level of customer service and a passion for the environment. Necessary prerequisites:
* Manual drivers' licence. Must be eligible to obtain a Northern Territory heavy vehicle manual license (MR or HR) and have the licence prior to starting
* Confident driving in the Outback on unsealed roads, towing a trailer
* Must be eligible to obtain a Northern Territory H Endorsement to carry passengers. This entails a criminal history check, medical assessment and a written test
* Ability to obtain/Hold a current First Aid Certificate - HLTAID003 'Provide first aid'
* VTP230 Kakadu Knowledge for Tour Guides accreditation, ideally prior to start date
* Must be eligible to obtain a Northern Territory Ochre card (Working With Children's check)
* Hold a DoFoodSafely certificate
* Physically fit with the ability to walk 10km in Grade 4 difficult terrain
* Ability to work flexibly, noting our tours are multi day operating 365 days a year
