Mater Private Hospital Mackay are recruiting for an experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our Surgical ward on a permanent part-time basis (0.6 FTE).
Mater Private Hospital Mackay provides the highest level of specialist care to patients, their families, carers, and visitors. Our team of industry professionals work together as a cohesive and collaborative unit, going above and beyond to provide patient-centred care and deliver the highest level of clinical standards for the patient and the unit.
Salary range: $35.92 - $38.21 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
This role will see you provide care for patients within general surgical areas. As an integral team member, you will support the general function of the unit using best practice principles and education whilst drawing upon your extensive surgical experience.
* Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
* Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
* Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
* Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you

Other skills and experience include:
* Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
* Prior experience as an Enrolled Nurse in General Surgery or another similar field would be highly desired
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
* Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients
