About Us

We are Blackburn Group Pty Ltd, a female-led commercial construction company specialising in fit-outs and refurbishments in live environments.

We are a small, high-performing team that prides itself on:

The Role

This role is the operational backbone of the business.

You’ll work directly with the Director to keep projects, admin, and communication running smoothly.

Some days will be structured and admin-focused.
Others will be reactive — solving problems, chasing information, and keeping things moving.

What You’ll Own

* Inbox and email management

* Formatting and assisting with tenders and documents

* Supplier and subcontractor coordination

* Scheduling and general project support

* Xero support (invoicing, tracking, basic admin)

* Client communication and follow-ups

* General admin and business support

What Matters Most

We care far more about attitude and ownership than a perfect CV.

You must be:

* Reliable — you follow things through

* Detail-focused — small mistakes matter

* Proactive — you don’t wait to be told everything

* Organised — you can manage multiple moving parts

* Calm under pressure — construction can move quickly

* Tech capable — comfortable with Microsoft 365, email systems, and learning new tools

This Role is NOT for someone who:

* Needs constant direction

* Prefers slow-paced or predictable work

* Wants a purely admin-only role

* Struggles to prioritise or manage competing tasks

Key Details

* Approx. 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

* Based on the Gold Coast (mix of office / occasional site exposure / WFM)

* Small, close-knit team

* Pay based on experience and ability to operate independently

The first week will focus on learning:

* Our systems

* Our projects

* How we operate

This role will begin with a strong administrative focus, with genuine opportunity to grow alongside the business. It would suit someone seeking school-friendly hours or a level of flexibility in their working week.
