Job Description
We are seeking a Production Leader to join our team in regional Victoria. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring our production team to achieve world-class manufacturing standards and maintain a strong continuous improvement culture.
The ideal candidate will have technical and analytical expertise, a fresh approach to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), LEAN Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement. You will also possess a strong understanding of all operational functions—including Safety, Quality, HR, Engineering/Maintenance, and Supply Chain—to build trusting relationships across the business.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring all products are produced to company specifications and in line with quality and safety guidelines and customer expectations. You will guarantee the site delivers first-time quality operating within GMP guidelines at all times. Additionally, you will direct and control manufacturing processes and production schedules to meet market requirements and ensure maximum utilization of the plant, workforce, and facilities.
You will partner with the business to ensure the operation performs within budgetary guidelines and that business plan objectives are achieved. Prioritizing plant breakdown and preventative maintenance while maintaining DIFOT is crucial. Designing and implementing strategies to improve production performance will also be essential to your success.
Key Accountabilities
* Be a people-first leader who fosters open communication, creates a safe and supportive team environment, while also confidently handling tough conversations when needed.
* Ensure all products are produced to company specifications and in line with quality and safety guidelines and customer expectations.
* Guarantee the site delivers first-time quality operating within GMP guidelines at all times.
* Direct and control manufacturing processes and production schedules to meet market requirements and ensure maximum utilization of the plant, workforce, and facilities.
* Partner with the business to ensure the operation performs within budgetary guidelines and that business plan objectives are achieved.

* Provide authentic leadership and direction for the production team.
* Mentor, coach, and develop the production team to build a highly skilled workforce and strong team spirit.
About You
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive demonstrated experience within an FMCG environment.
* Strong leadership capability with demonstrated experience in a leadership position.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of automated machines in a manufacturing industry is highly desired.
* Ability to take accountability to push self and others for results.
* Problem-solving skills at pace.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills with excellent attention to detail.
* High work ethic and solid work history. You will be a strong team player willing to help others achieve a common goal with a desire to produce great products.
* Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, and OHS requirements.
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced changing environment.
