As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager who understands operational environments and is comfortable working closely with leaders and frontline teams.
This role can be offered as either a 12-month contract or a permanent full-time position, depending on what suits the right candidate.
The Role
This is a hands‐on HR leadership role working closely with the Directors and operational leaders across the business.
While there is opportunity to contribute to HR strategy and workforce planning, this role also requires someone who is comfortable being involved in the day‐to‐day realities of managing people in a blue‐collar environment.
You will be supporting leaders through employee relations matters, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring the business maintains strong HR practices as it continues to grow.
This role will suit someone who enjoys being visible in the business, building relationships with managers and supervisors, and providing practical HR guidance when challenges arise.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver HR strategy aligned with business objectives
* Provide coaching and guidance to managers on people leadership and performance management
* Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to support business growth
* Support organisational design, structure and capability development
* Manage complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
* Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, awards and workplace obligations
* Drive initiatives that improve engagement, retention and workforce productivity
* Partner with operational leaders to support frontline teams and supervisors
About You
We are looking for a HR professional who combines strategic thinking with operational capability.
You will bring:
* 5+ Years proven experience in a HR Manager role
* Demonstrated experience developing and implementing complex HR strategies and workforce planning initiatives
* Experience working with blue‐collar or operational workforces such as construction, demolition, transport, or similar industries (highly desirable)
* Strong capability managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
* Experience partnering with senior leaders and operational managers to support business outcomes
* Experience using Employment Hero (desirable)
* Minimum Certificate IV in Human Resource Management or a related discipline
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards, and workplace frameworks
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
