An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Turnaround Planner (Mechanical & Work Process) to join a leading industrial operation in Western Australia. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality planning, scheduling, and execution of major turnarounds across complex processing facilities.
Responsibilities:
* Planning and developing detailed mechanical (static/rotary) turnaround scopes, including safety-critical and improvement projects
* Preparing work packs, QA plans, and managing discipline approvals
* Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of turnaround work processes and procedures
* Collaborating with Maintenance, Inspection, Projects, and Production teams to ensure execution readiness
* Managing material planning, stock control, and timely procurement to support project timelines
This position is based in Perth, with regular travel to a Karratha-based plant during the initial six months.
Requirements:
* A Certificate III/IV, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant trade qualification (or engineering degree with hands-on experience)
* 5–10 years' experience in petrochemical, oil & gas, or similar heavy industries
* Proven success in planning and executing multiple full-cycle major turnarounds
* Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, SAP, and Microsoft Office
* Excellent understanding of industry regulations, standards, and safety systems
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency (mandatory)
