**The** **Opportunity**: 
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and innovative senior Florist to join our team. This position will give you the opportunity to play a vital role in the running and presentation of our Café Vita et Flores.
We are looking for someone who is creative, well organised, reliable and trustworthy. You will be attentive to customer needs and have good communication skills. This is a permanent, full-time role that will suit a self-directed individual with the ability to multi-task while delivering exceptional customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and maintain the smooth daily Florist operation of Café Vita et Flores with a strong focus of customer centricity 
- Ensure that all direct reports adhere to the SMCT Dress Code Procedure and maintain a high level of standards in their presentation 
- Develop and implement regular seasonal merchandising and styling at both outlets 
- Ensure that all equipment and staff are compliant with WHS standards, promote a safe environment for staff and guests 
- Contribute and be involved with the recruitment process for any vacancies within FOH Florist 
- Develop strategies to increase sales on peak visitor periods throughout the year - Mothers day, Easter, Fathers Day and Christmas 
- Supervise the Florist Attendants with a "hands on" approach providing exceptional advise, guidance and direction to staff
**About You**:
- Certificate IV in Floristry and Current Australian Drivers Licence with no restrictions 
- Demonstrated experience in providing a high level of customer service to customers and stakeholders 
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills 
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team where high standards, a positive "can do" attitude, and a strong work ethic are required 
- Proven understanding of budget and accounting procedures including planning, forecasting and controlling 
- Extensive experience in staff management practise including reward and recognition, counselling, performance management and staff development 
- Confidence to autonomously operate MS Office Package (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook
