Job Description
As General Manager at Ibis Mackay, you will spearhead the operation of one of Mackay's most vibrant and sought‐after economy hotels, ensuring seamless functioning and exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee day‐to‐day operations, implement strategic objectives, inspire and empower a team, and cultivate strong relationships with guests, partners, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Leading the overall management and strategic direction of Ibis Mackay
* Taking a commercial lead in driving new business into the hotel while connecting with the existing customer base
* Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, predominantly owners, guests, and suppliers
* Ensuring long‐term profitability of the operational departments and the hotel, maximizing revenue and seizing opportunities
* Conducting regular analysis on all departments to continuously improve productivity, quality, market competitiveness, and service standards
* Developing, inspiring, and leading team members to create a great place to work that embodies our Heartist culture
Qualifications
A qualification in hotel management, hospitality management, commerce or business administration would be highly regarded.
About You
* Previous experience as a General Manager preferred, commercial/sales background highly regarded
* Ability to provide strategic thought processes and direction to build market performance and business outcomes
* Proven strong and successful ownership relationships
* Strong ability to develop, lead and motivate a team of experienced professionals
* Excellent project management abilities
* Strong focus on customer service and passion for guest experiences
