We currently have a number of casual opportunities for Catering Assistants to join our hospital team based in Waratah. Previous catering or similar experience, flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment with knowledge of food preparation and food safety is desirable however we are very willing to train interested candidates new to the industry.
THE POSITION
* Assist in preparing and presenting patient meals
* Meal delivery to wards and collection
* Demonstrate adaptability by taking on various tasks and responsibilities as needed
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation
* Following all Food and Safety procedures
THE PERSON
* Previous hospital and/or aged care Catering Assistant experience or the genuine desire to learn
* Ability and desire to work within the site based Mental Health Centre
* Ability to prepare and serve food items in accordance with strict food safety guidelines
* Ability to work unsupervised (following site based training)
* Personable, a team player who has exceptional communication skills
* Commitment to respond to customer requests in a timely and friendly manner
* Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
* A discreet and respectful manner
* High level of personal presentation and hygiene
* Flexibility to work shifts during the weekdays and weekends
