The Network Design Consultant role is critical in delivering exceptional technical service, driving client satisfaction, and ensuring network performance within our clients' telecommunications and managed services environment. This position combines technical expertise, consultation, project implementation, and customer relationship management to provide a seamless experience throughout a customer's lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecom systems, including networks, data, and voice solutions.
* Serve as the point of escalation for design, implementation, cutover, and service handovers.
* Monitor network & infrastructure performance to minimize downtime and proactively address potential issues, presenting preventative measures to clients.
* Consult on network upgrades, expansions, and maintenance projects to enhance reliability and scalability.
* Act as the post-sale technical liaison between Macquarie Telecom and client technical stakeholders, maintaining high client satisfaction.
* Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to address technical needs, discuss service challenges, and present solutions.
* Perform technical reviews with customers at scheduled intervals, identifying potential improvements and preparing for contract renewal.
Ideal Skills and Experience
* STEM-related University Degree (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
* Extensive experience conducting technical reviews with customers, identifying potential improvements, and preparing for contract renewal.
* Strong experience in Wide-area network WAN is essential.
* CISCO certifications required.
* Experience in CISCO switching and routing protocols, including IP, TCP, is mandatory.
* SD-WAN experience is highly desirable.
* Network design experience is required.
* Strong customer-facing and/or consulting background.
* Extensive experience in telecom systems, including networks, data, and voice solutions.
* Strong experience in networking security.
* Excellent people and communication skills.
