We are currently seeking a Bars & Restaurant Manager at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.
A fantastic opportunity for a creative and innovative manager to lead our team of hospitality professionals who are committed to providing exceptional customer service within our Outlets.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall management of Lihou Bar, Sports Bar, Flinders Bar and Grill Restaurant, Soy Kitchen and Bar36.
* Lead by example, promote a team environment, and maintain professional skilled staff.
* Ensure the highest standard of service, delivery, and product is provided to our patrons.
* Financial management including budget analysis, wages, cost control / forecasting, rostering, and purchasing.
* Effective management and training and development of supervisory and front-line employees.
* Recruitment and selection responsibilities within the Outlets.
* Implementation of cost-effective outlet strategies in line with business priorities.
Criteria
* Relevant experience in managing a multiple-outlet operation with extensive exposure to high volume bar operations.
* The ability to manage and motivate a large team of employees to provide a high service / standard resulting in employee and customer satisfaction.
* Working knowledge of financial acumen including budget analysis, wage & cost control, forecasting, rostering and purchasing.
* Proven track record / results in developing strategies for revenue and profit improvement.
* Experience in implementing and maintaining training systems.
* The ability to thrive under pressure whilst managing multiple priorities.
* The ability to effectively handle guest concerns which result in a positive outcome.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
* Extensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, liquor and tobacco laws, work health & safety regulations.
* Impeccable grooming and presentation standards.
* Effective in job delegation and instruction with the ability to problem solve.
All Food and Beverage applicants are required to possess a current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol Attainment Certificate.
