The Transport Maintenance Services section plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the city's infrastructure, ensuring safe, functional, and sustainable public assets.
Our team provides comprehensive maintenance services for meter maintenance, roads, traffic lines and signs, stormwater drainage systems, bridges, beaches, footpaths and waterways.
About the role
You will form part of a work team that perform specialist tasks associated with the maintenance and construction of the City's concrete and timber bridge structures and major culverts.
Responsibilities
Undertaking a range of specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of the City's structural concrete and timber bridge components.
Operation of minor equipment and machinery associated with various works tasks.
Completing and authorising various organisational forms.
Manage work sites and work teams.
Manage work orders in SAP via a mobile device (iPad)
We're looking for people who have
Certificate III in Civil Construction (or working towards, with completion to occur within 12 months)
MR Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
General Construction Induction Card (White) (Mandatory)

A high-level of customer service and communication skills, a can-do attitude and the ability to think on your feet
A team player with the ability to lead a multi-disciplined team
Recent labouring experience within civil construction and/or bitumen
Sound physical health in order to satisfactorily perform the physically demanding duties of the position
Effective numeracy and literacy skills commensurate with the requirements of the position
