We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead the busy general practice and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across clinical, administrative, and financial areas.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating our practice operations, supporting a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
You'll oversee daily administration, HR, finance, compliance, and patient experience, while contributing to the clinic's strategic growth and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations, appointment systems, and clinical rosters
Manage recruitment, onboarding, staff training, and performance
Prepare and monitor budgets, payroll, billing, and financial reports
Ensure compliance with accreditation, privacy, and safety standards
Lead quality improvement and risk management initiatives
Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and excellent patient service
Liaise with healthcare partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders
Contribute to business planning, reporting, and practice development
About You
You are a proactive and organised leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
You enjoy supporting a team and have a passion for efficient, patient-centred healthcare.
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in medical practice management or similar role
Strong knowledge of Best Practice or similar clinical software
Understanding of Medicare, DVA, and WorkCover billing processes
Excellent organisational, financial, and people management skills
Knowledge of RACGP accreditation and compliance standards
Desirable
Certificate or Diploma in Practice Management or Business Administration
Experience managing a multidisciplinary healthcare team
