The Western Australian Golf Club is seeking an experienced and highly motivated House Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of its clubhouse and hospitality offering.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering an exceptional member and guest experience, overseeing food and beverage operations, events, and the presentation and maintenance of the clubhouse facilities. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the club's service culture and operational excellence.
About the Role
As House Manager, you will be accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the clubhouse, ensuring the highest standards of service, compliance, and presentation are consistently achieved. You will lead and develop a diverse team across food and beverage, functions, front-of-house, and maintenance, while working collaboratively with the Club's management team to achieve strategic and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the clubhouse facilities are presented to the highest standard at all times
* Lead and manage all food and beverage operations, including bar, kitchen, and functions
* Oversee compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol, Approved Manager, food hygiene, WHS, and safety regulations
* Manage opening and closing procedures for clubhouse, kitchen, and bar operations
* Oversee stock control, purchasing, pricing, cash handling, and POS management
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure operational consistency
* Work closely with the Head Chef on menu development, pricing, and special offerings
* Recruit, induct, train, and performance-manage food and beverage team members
* Prepare and manage rosters to ensure optimal service delivery and labour efficiency
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement to enhance the member experience
* Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and achievement of revenue and KPI targets
* Prepare reports and participate in management and event planning meetings
* Oversee capital works, maintenance planning, and approved capital expenditure

You are a confident, hands-on hospitality leader with a passion for service excellence and people development. You thrive in a member-focused environment and are comfortable managing complex operations with a high level of autonomy.
Qualifications
* Proven leadership and management experience within hospitality or premium venues
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
* Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
* Sound financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control
* Experience in staff recruitment, training, and performance management
* A strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
