Do you have an electrical trade and have a problem-solving mindset, a high level of mathematics, an affinity for computers, and like to keep up to date on the latest technology?
Partnered with our host ControlWorks, we are looking for Instrumentation and Controls apprentices who want to continue their career in an ever-evolving industry while completing a UEE***** Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control.
This position is full-time and based in Hornsby on the Upper North Shore of Sydney.
ControlWorks is an Australian-owned company with over 20 years of market-leading experience in Building Management Systems Integration.
They design, engineer, commission, install and maintain systems for a range of facilities including office buildings, schools, hospitals, art galleries and even Taronga Zoo.
Their offices and operations are across both Australia and New Zealand.
You will be learning alongside industry professionals while completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework and working all over the Sydney region.
You will develop skills in building automation, commissioning HVAC, security, and lighting with your daily work involving installation, commissioning, servicing and diagnoses of equipment.

About You
We are looking for individuals who want to know 'how it all works' when it comes to technology and thrive on problem-solving.
You don't just pull things apart, you put them back together with your own improvements.
We are seeking candidates who have:
Building Management System (BMS) experience
A passion for the industry and looking for a career, not just a job
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
Electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills essential
An affinity for computers – following advances in technology
Certificate II in Electrotechnology ideal, but not essential
Current driver's licence (Must have P Plate minimum)
A construction White Card (or be willing to get one)
Excellent safety awareness
Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
