Our client are a construction company and are looking for an Accounts Officer to join their A&F team immediately. This role reports to the Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter purchase orders into the costing system
- Help enter and distribute invoices in accounts payable
- Log monthly claims for subcontractors. Between 40 to 80 per month.
- Reconcile monthly creditor statements
- Prepare monthly ageing reports
- Authorise bank transactions
- Run payment runs to suppliers and subcontractors for all entities
- Credit Card reconciliations
- Accounts payable filing and helping to maintain records
- Set up new suppliers and subcontractors
- Accounts payable retention report and reconciliation monthly
- Help maintain supplier relationships across the company
What we are looking for:
- Previous AP experience (2+ years) ideally from the construction, property, or engineering industries
- Someone with great communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in using MYOB and Excel
