Occupational Rehabilitation Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Professional to join our team in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Job Description
This role involves providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological. You will work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to support clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes.
As an Occupational Rehabilitation Professional, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad and varied experience across the spectrum of occupational rehabilitation. This includes case management, applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes, and working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Case management (caseloads are manageable, and you will have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks)
* Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
* Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
* Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
* Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
* General or Provisional AHPRA registration or Full ASORC Membership or Full AASW Membership
* Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
* Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders;
* Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;
* Well-developed time management skills;
