Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a Water & Wastewater Engineer in our Sydney office. You will report directly into the Director - Water & Wastewater and have the backing of a team of over 520 experts nationally. You will be tasked with leading a project delivery team in a bid to achieve client commitments and build client advocacy and confidence.
Responsibilities
* Manage major water & wastewater projects, including project planning and coordination through initial inception to detailed design and construction phases
* Supervise and mentor junior staff
* Taking a leading role as a technical advisor for the team
* Collaboration with other teams and offices to ensure integrated design approach
* Provide specialist technical input to feasibility studies and conceptual designs
* Undertake construction cost estimates for budgeting and funding purposes
* Prepare written reports and make technical presentations to clients and other internal/external stakeholders
* Oversee the planning and design of various project elements, preparation of reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, technical drawings, construction plans and specifications
* Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, constructors, approval authorities, government agencies and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* Provenexperience in municipal water & wastewater infrastructure planning and project management
* Must have experience in water and wastewater network modelling
* Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams
* Demonstrated project management experience
* Capable of contributing to business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects
* Must have a proven track record of leading technical engineering teams and successfully managing water & wastewater projects
