About This Opportunity

As a member of the Library Student Experience leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of Technology Trainers. This role focuses on delivering proactive training services to support key strategic priorities and will require you to partner with staff across the university to address evolving training needs.

Responsibilities

- Strategic Training & Development: Proactively engage with stakeholders across the university to identify opportunities for strategic technology training. You will lead the planning and coordination of initiatives that are responsive to the needs of students and staff.
- Program Delivery & Evaluation: Oversee the development and delivery of online and face-to-face training programs. Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of these programs using participant feedback and quality assessment tools.
- Content Creation & Management: Lead the creation, curation, and regular updating of all online training materials to ensure they are accessible and relevant.
- Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership and management to the training team, including mentoring, performance feedback, and coaching to foster professional growth and high performance. Supervise casual staff and manage the team/'s budget.

About You

- Degree with at least four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training. This includes proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs in both online and face-to-face formats, with a focus on digital literacy and academic success.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and teach a range of digital tools and platforms. Experience in conducting training needs analysis and developing instructional materials that are accessible, inclusive, and tailored to wide-ranging learning needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to consult, negotiate, and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders across the university. Flexibility, initiative, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple projects, and supervise staff while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including criminal history and education checks. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.

Location: St Lucia, Queensland, Australia. This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to July 2027 with salary in the range $102,565 - $111,686 (HEW 7), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.
