About the Job
Technical Accounting Manager – Salary $160k – $220k (depending on experience). Benefits: Superannuation, LTI, STI.
DSY partners with an International Mining Group to recruit the first Technical Accounting Manager for Australia. Reporting to the GM Finance, you will develop, implement and ensure effective financial reporting, internal controls and compliance systems for the Australian business.
What you'll do
* Group financial reporting and audits across all companies
* Primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors
* Manage internal controls and compliance
* Manage tax planning and compliance
* Manage and enhance management reporting
* Oversee accounts payables and payroll for the Perth office
* Support the GM Finance with financial risk management, including hedge accounting
* Staff management: recruit and lead direct reports
What you'll need
* CA/CPA qualified with 3+ years PQE
* External audit background (ideally Big 4 trained)
* Strong technical accounting skills
* Experience managing audits and handling tricky queries
* Ideally a Senior Manager in Big 4 audit or a Group/Senior Financial Accountant at a listed business
* Willingness to travel to North America
