Queen Amann Bakery is a vibrant, high-quality bakery on King Street in Bowen Hills, specialising in baked goods and specialty coffee. We are seeking an accomplished, hands-on Cafe Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset to lead all daily operations and drive the business into its critical next phase of growth.
This pivotal, full-time leadership role requires more than just management, it requires ownership. You will be instrumental in establishing operational excellence and shaping the culture of our new business.
* Strategic Leadership: This is a crucial opportunity to drive the early success and guide this new business through its next phase of growth. You will set standards, build systems, and ensure long-term stability and profitability.
* Operational Management: Oversee all daily functions, including opening/closing, cash handling, scheduling, and ensuring a pristine, compliant operational environment.
* Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, roster, and mentor the entire team (FOH staff, baristas, and liaising directly with chefs). Your focus is on fostering a high-performing, passionate, and accountable team culture.
* Financial & Inventory Control: Expertly manage inventory, supplier relations, and ordering. Take ownership of cost control, wastage minimisation, and analysing sales data to maximise profitability.
* Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional, consistent customer service that reflects the premium quality of the Queen Amann brand.

Essential Requirements:
* Management Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of management experience in a high-volume café, bakery, or specialty hospitality environment.
* Entrepreneurial Drive: A proactive, self-starter attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality and the dedication to manage a new business launch and scaling phase.
* Leadership Acumen: Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team while fostering strong communication across all departments (FOH and Kitchen).
* Technical Knowledge: Have been in specialty coffee, knowledge of pastries is highly regarded
