As a Logistics Officer at Downer, you will be an integral part of our Health and Education team, responsible for the efficient receipt and distribution of mail, equipment, and supplies throughout our facilities. Your key duties will include managing daily freight operations, ensuring compliance and security in sensitive areas, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will work collaboratively with the Logistics team to meet customer expectations and uphold high standards of service delivery. This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, physically fit, and possess strong communication skills, all while contributing to vital services in the healthcare and education sectors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage daily freight operations to meet customer expectations. 
- Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of mail and equipment. 
- Maintain security and compliance in sensitive areas 
- Work collaboratively within the Logistics team to achieve operational goals. 
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in the workplace, adhering to quality assurance standards.
**About you** 
- Year 12 education preferred; previous logistics experience is a plus. 
- Robust communication skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively. 
- Physical fitness for medium/heavy lifting required.
