Position Summary
This role sits within a major capital investment project and will lead the management of occupational health, safety and environment for Nestlé to ensure a safe workplace is maintained.
A day in the life...
Reporting to the Project Manager, key responsibilities of the role is to execute the Project Safety Management Plan including:
* Induct and regularly train all staff & workers with appropriate skill to assess assigned tasks prior to execution.
* Support the elimination of hazards & risk through task and equipment assessment.
* Identify and inform on potential hazards during construction, maintenance, cleaning and dismantling and reassembly.
* Serve as single point of contact with third party OHS leaders. Liaise with toolbox leader to define safety topics for discussion daily.
* Participate in the program of work place safety observations
* Provide coaching & support to the Project team and Line Managers in order to achieve the Project/ Factory's SHE objectives.
* Ensure that SHE performance data is available and correctly managed.
* Actively use Nestle risk assessment, permit to work, and incident investigation systems as applicable, as well as ensuring a focus on Caring Through Feedback/ Behaviour Based Safety culture.

* Tertiary qualification in safety, health and/or environmental areas or related field.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in SHE management role.
* Experience working in food manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of AS4024 Safety of Machinery and AS1657 Fixed Platforms, Ladders and Stairs
* Demonstrated ability to manage change and deliver results through others.
* Strong verbal and written communication with all levels of management.
* A 'can do' attitude and initiative is key.
