Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Architect with a
strong foundation in design and town planning
, the ideal candidate would bring both creative vision and planning experience to realise the project's potential. This role requires leadership across all project stages, from sketch design, town planning to design development and consultant coordination to documentation and delivery.
You will play a key role in shaping design outcomes, proactively engaging with council, authority, consultants, clients and fellow team members to achieve high-quality, timely results.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead projects through concept design, town planning, detailed design, and documentation stages.
* Drive design quality and planning strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant planning and building regulations.
* Coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, and internal team members.
* Oversee and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive studio culture.
* Take ownership of project deliverables, deadlines, and quality assurance.

Skills & Attributes
* Strong-level Revit proficiency, with the ability to resolve complex design and documentation challenges efficiently.
* Strong initiative, with the ability to problem-solve independently and collaboratively.
* Deep understanding of Victorian planning systems, design response strategies, and council negotiation processes.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
* A positive and proactive attitude with a genuine commitment to meeting project targets and supporting team success.
Qualifications & Experience
* ARBV Registered Architect (mandatory).
* Minimum 10 years of professional experience in architecture, with demonstrated project leadership.
* Proven experience across design, town planning submissions, and construction documentation.
* Experience in residential, mixed-use, projects preferred.
* Strong technical knowledge of planning requirements, NCC, and Australian Standards.
