We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) to join our team at Bouldercombe State School.
This role provides leadership and support across all schools within our local cluster, ensuring inclusive practices, supporting staff with adjustments and planning, and improving outcomes for students. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, and support staff to lead inclusive education and build capability across the cluster.
This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 6 months, unless otherwise determined.

Located just 20 minutes south-west of Rockhampton, Bouldercombe State School is set in a peaceful semi-rural environment while remaining close to urban facilities. We are a small, co-educational Prep to Year 6 school that provides an inclusive and supportive environment to help students feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
The school delivers the Australian Curriculum across all eight key learning areas: English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, Health and Physical Education, Technologies, The Arts, and LOTE. Literacy and numeracy are our core focus, supported by dedicated learning blocks and high-quality, moderated multi-age units.
About The Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
* Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
* Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
* Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
