Lead a passionate team
As the Team Leader, you'll oversee a multidisciplinary group delivering high-quality services to children, youth, and families in statutory care. You'll provide practice oversight, mentoring, and operational leadership to ensure safe, inclusive, and effective service delivery.
* Manage intake, assessment, and care planning processes.
* Supervise and mentor support workers and practitioners.
* Collaborate with families, carers, and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with child protection legislation and best practice.
* Promote culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and service innovation.
* Participate in after-hours and on-call support as required.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a confident, values-driven leader who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment. Key responsibilities include:
* A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related field.
* At least 3 years' experience in child protection or youth/family services.
* Experience leading a team in a care or support setting.
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development.
* Demonstrated understanding of child protection and out-of-home care systems, including familiarity with Child Protection Act and DFV legislation.
* Experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, young people, families and communities in an organisational context.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* A current driver's licence.
* A current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check – or ability to acquire.
