Note: 
The Ontario Chemical Service Manager role is accountable for ensuring every car wash operator in Ontario recognizes Transchem as the industry leader in chemical service. This role reports to the Director of Sales – Canada and combines leadership of the Chemical Technician team with supporting Ontario car wash operators. The role is field-based to ensure best-in-class service while developing a well-trained, organized team that builds strong customer relationships and drives growth through expertise in chemical installation and troubleshooting.

Key Accountabilities 
Manage Chemical Technicians with Day-to-Day Operations (50% of workload): 
Implement and manage an effective schedule for the Chemical Team to meet or exceed service targets 
Analyze and modify chemical services to provide efficient, value-added offerings 
Become the subject matter expert on Transchem chemistry and services 
Conduct ongoing in-person training with the team to develop competency and career growth 
Ensure correct products/services are provided based on customer needs 
Performance management, including coaching, training, and onboarding of employees 
Customer Support (40% of workload): 
Support the sales function by acting as the conduit between field service and sales 
Collaborate with the Ontario Sales Team to set up and transition new customers from testing to account management and retention 
Understand key customer needs to ensure optimal products and services are provided 
Foster relationships with customer stakeholders by understanding their objectives, needs and challenges 
Identify opportunities to grow revenue with existing customers, develop new customers or expand product usage 
Serve as a link between key customers and Transchem in collaboration with the Equipment Division 
Collaborate with the Operations Support Manager as required 
Technical Assistance & Support to All Transchem Departments (10% of workload): 
Work with R&D; to test and implement new chemicals in the field 
Act as liaison between Corporate Accounts/Multi-Site Operators and the Chemical team as needed 
Recommend new business strategies to improve procedures and performance 
Safety Excellence 
Manage the Health & Safety Program for the team 
Enforce the use of proper PPE and safety devices 
Participate in hazard analysis and recommend safety improvements 
Model safe work practices and strive for zero incidents 
Understand, communicate and enforce WHMIS and other applicable regulations 
Education and Experience Required 
High school diploma or equivalent; preference for business management diploma or related leadership certifications 
Previous field experience providing customers with technical information 
Technical Skills and Competencies 
Ability to mentor, coach, and guide a team 
Knowledge of car wash chemistry and industry or related chemical experience 
Excellent mechanical and technical aptitude with a range of tools and instruments 
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities 
Proficient in MS Office and Teams; ability to learn new software 
Analytical and problem-solving abilities with adaptive learning 
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record 
Ability to travel up to 50% and work remotely when not traveling 
Located within 2 hours of an international airport 
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; work in a hot, damp, and noisy environment 
Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting 
Physical Demands and Working Conditions 
The position may require work in remote locations, travel to customer sites, and varying environments. Conditions may be noisy, cold, damp, or hot. There may be exposure to chemical scents. Physical demands include driving, sitting, standing, and lifting. Willingness to troubleshoot chemicals, equipment, and tools is required.
