About You

Treasury is looking for a project officer to work as part of small project team tasked with upgrading or replacing the Gaming and Licensing Information System and the Tasmanian Gambling Exclusion database systems. You will contribute to the successful delivery of the program by preparing and maintaining project documentation and performing a range of project-related tasks.

You are a proactive and organised individual with strong administrative and coordination skills who is comfortable managing multiple tasks. You are skilled at maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, tracking progress, and supporting procurement and reporting processes. You enjoy working in a team environment and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes and understand the importance of accurate, timely support in achieving successful project outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience supporting projects or programs, who is adept at using standard office software, and is interested in developing their skills in government project delivery and procurement practices.

The Liquor and Gaming Branch supports the Commissioner for Licensing and the Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission in their regulatory functions under the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 and the Gaming Control Act 1993. The branch also provides advice to government on liquor and gaming policy, collects gaming taxes and forecasts revenue for the State Budget.

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.

Period of Appointment

This is a fixed term appointment for a period of 2 years.
