About the role

We have an opportunity for a Lawyer to be part of our Subpoena Objections Team. Reporting to the Principal Lawyer, the role is responsible for the provision of high quality, ethical and professional legal representation, advice and support relating to various orders, or other requests, for information to the Commissioner of Police, in particular, subpoenas to produce. The requests will arise across a range of State and Federal jurisdictions in potentially factually interesting and legally complex matters. This position will be part of a new team within InfoLink Command, Office of General Counsel. It will involve the provision of legal advice to NSWPF internal stakeholders and provide opportunities for courtroom advocacy in criminal and civil matters in a range of courts and tribunals in NSW.

Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check and obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
