The Opportunity
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to join our friendly Surgical Ward, providing high-quality care to patients.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering patient‐centred care in a fast‐paced acute hospital environment. The successful candidates will be caring, reliable, and passionate about patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
* Support nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and patient observations
* Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive ward environment
* Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families
* Assist with patient transfers and mobility
* Accurately document care and communicate changes in patient condition
Essential Criteria
* Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or be currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year Registered Nursing student
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to provide compassionate care to patients with complex medical needs
* Commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
* Flexibility to work across a 7‐day rotating roster
