Project Officer – Northern Region (Crown Land Estate)
Residing in Katherine or Darwin – Northern Territory
Remuneration Package Range: $107,576 - $112,834 (including salary $90,946 - $95,468)
Responsibilities
Provide advice and information to management, other government agencies, developers and the public regarding the management, sale or lease of Crown land in the Big Rivers Region. Prepare correspondence, reports and recommendations, contracts and tenders on Crown land management and maintenance, and manage relevant leases and licences. Undertake field inspections of land and buildings and respond to complaints on vacant Crown land management issues as required.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse and provide advice on policy and legislation. Well‐developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to produce documentation to effectively communicate technical issues to a diverse target audience, and experience liaising in the private and public sector are essential. Experience in land administration, land use planning or other land management areas will be well received.
To accommodate residential needs, the position can operate out of either Darwin or Katherine; however, the nature of the work may require travel and overnight stays in regional areas to ensure the key duties and responsibilities of the role are achieved.
