Automotive Driveline Operations Manager
Role Description
This is a senior leadership position within an automotive workshop, responsible for managing the driveline workshop's daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in driveline systems, excellent leadership skills, and a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Main Accountabilities
* Supervise and coordinate all driveline workshop activities to ensure timely and high-quality work completion, meeting customer requirements and quality standards.
* Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance management to achieve exceptional results.
* Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop and implement efficient workshop schedules, meeting customer demands and ensuring effective resource allocation.
* Implement and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
* Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure all work meets the company's quality assurance standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
1. Proven experience in supervisory or leading hand roles within an automotive workshop, preferably in driveline, gearbox, or transmission rebuilding.
2. Strong technical knowledge of driveline systems and related components.
3. Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and lead a team to achieve desired outcomes.
