Clinical Fellow (ST Equivalent) in Medicine for the Elderly
Full Time / Part Time Hours Considered
About the Service
The Medicine for the Elderly service delivered by the Perth and Kinross health and social care partnership is undergoing a period of change and innovation. At present the Medicine for the Elderly unit provides a comprehensive service to older in-patients in Perth Royal Infirmary including an acute frailty team and frailty unit, acute MFE wards, orthogeriatric service and an 18‐bed rehab and assessment unit. Inpatient assessment and rehabilitation is also delivered at the community hospitals in Crieff, Blairgowrie and Pitlochry. There are clinics specialising in falls, movement disorder and bone health.
About the Team
Medicine for the Elderly is Tayside's largest employer of Clinical Fellows and Speciality Doctors, and our team has a reputation for providing opportunities and career development in this career grade. It is also the stepping stone to a Speciality Doctor post for doctors without enough experience to apply for a Speciality Doctor post.
The Post
The post is ideal for doctors looking for time away from training or a non‐training career, where development, training and opportunities provided by these posts have many positives. The candidate can work full‐time or part‐time.

The post holder must, at the time of commencement of employment, have full registration with the GMC and a license to practice. Successful completion of the UK foundation programme or equivalent, as demonstrated by the UK CREST form, is required by the time of appointment.
