Field Service Technician - Sydney, Australia - Permanent Contract
Our client is a global lifting‑solutions manufacturer with multiple sites worldwide. They produce mobile hydraulic cranes, crawler cranes, boom trucks, and tower cranes, and are known for durable, high‑quality engineering across multiple sectors.
They are looking for a Field Service Technician to help support a project based in Dublin.
What You'll Do
* Diagnose and resolve warranty-related issues that fall outside the capabilities or responsibilities of the distributor or customer.
* Organise and oversee activities related to investigating and addressing customer‑reported technical issues, applying the appropriate processes to prevent similar operational or service challenges in the future.
* Review and assess technical problem reports to identify trends that may impact future design, manufacturing, service, or maintenance practices, and recommend improvements to mitigate recurring issues.
What you'll need:
* Extensive technical service and support experience, ideally within the crane industry or the broader heavy equipment sector.
* Capable of interpreting and working with electronic and hydraulic schematics.
* Demonstrates strong analytical skills in evaluating technical issue reports, research results, and system or process outputs.
* Experience and knowledge in hybrid vehicle systems are considered an asset.
* Experience and knowledge in automotive electrical systems are considered an asset.
