**About the role**
The** Junior Fibre Designer** will be responsible for FTTP design's end-to-end delivery which includes High Level Design, Detail design, As-built, and completion related activity as per the NBN Co specified guidelines.
This position will be accountable for the on-time delivery, cost, and quality of all designs and will be responsible for the technical and constructability aspect of the detail design for the NBN ODM projects.
This is a permanent position, with flexibility to work from home once training period is complete.
**What you'll be doing**
- End to end delivery services including Detail Design in PNI, Construction Plans, Project Costing (BOM/BOQ), As-built & defects and not limiting to managing design issues with NBN Co
- Delivery of design on time, within budget and to quality standards
- Work closely with Construction Team, Land Access Team, surveyors, and Field Managers to ensure project priorities are being met and issues are being addressed
- Work closely with stakeholders to manage any design objections and coordinate accordingly
- Work closely with the Design Manager and Project Manager on any variations and contractual notices associated with the completion of design activities
- Review standards and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Be responsive and flexible to dynamic client demands and needs within NBN Co but maintain a focus on protecting Ventia's commercial interests
- Implement and maintain 'safety in design' protocols

**About You**
- Proficient in AutoCAD & Microsoft office.
- Qualifications in Engineering or similar an advantage.
- Relevant experience in any telecommunications or construction industry
