To deliver on this new and exciting work, we are seeking skilled individuals to undertake short-term, world-leading training in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, U.S.
Placements aredue to deployinMay 2026and will be betweenup to 7 monthsin duration.
Responsibilities
In the role ofQA Inspection – Chemical Lab ,your responsibilities are:
* Act as a specialist in chemical analysis, providing technical expertise.
* Plan, coordinate, and execute tests and projects.
* Collaborate with nuclear engineers, radiological control, environmental specialists, and other stakeholders.
* Research and develop specifications for new lab equipment to enhance capabilities cost-effectively.
* Drive continuous process improvements and optimize resource utilization.
* Ensure expenditures stay within approved budgets while maintaining efficiency and economy.
Eligibility Criteria
The successful applicant mustpossess:
An ability to obtain andmaintaina NV1 defence clearance
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a physical science (Chemistry or Materials).
Professional laboratory experience with a variety of instruments/samplesin order toprovide the level of authoritative responses and complex analytical solutionsrequiredat this level ofexpertise.
Professional knowledge of chemical principles, theories,practicesandmethodology.
During deployment, you will receive on the job training combined with instructor led classroom training. This training program and work is carried outin accordance withcompany and US Navy processes and procedures.
At the completion of your deployment, you willreturn to Western Australia (WA)to carry out the planning, management, and in-water maintenance activities on the United States Navy Virginia Class Submarines. Repatriation to WA is non-negotiable, so please consider this when applying.
