Business Development & Marketing Advisor – Markets & Sectors


Job Details

* 12 month fixed term contract to be based in any of our office locations
* Open to flexible working (ideally 4/5 days per week)
* Hybrid role; working from home and in office working from modern, open plan offices

About the Role And Team

The Hall & Wilcox Business Development, Marketing & Communications team comprises specialists across all areas of professional services BD and marketing. The team is recognised at the firm for its insight and experience and is valued across the partnership.

Culturally, the team is respectful and supportive, with a focus on having fun while working hard. The team operates nationally and has been working flexibly for 15+ years. This role can be based across any of our office locations, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Newcastle, Adelaide, Canberra and Darwin.

This role is based in our Markets team and is responsible for co‑ordinating our Alumni and Referrer programs.

You will be responsible for:


Alumni programme

* Working with the Head of Markets to deliver Hall & Wilcox's national Alumni Programme. This may include:
o List management
o Liaising with the People & Culture team to onboard our alumni
o Working with our partners and client teams on alumni connections and opportunities
* Developing and implementing a calendar of alumni events nationally and internationally
* Developing the alumni newsletter, including sourcing content and drafting copy


Referrer programme

* Working with the Head of Markets and Referrer Lead Partners to deliver Hall & Wilcox's national Referrer Programme. This may include:
o Working with relevant Client Leads on managing priority referrers.
o Developing relationships with key external referrer contacts, looking at how our firms can partner and deliver mutually beneficial business and client development.
o Developing and implementing business and marketing plans for relevant priority referrers.


About You

* Minimum 3 years' experience in professional services business, client development and/or marketing, preferably with experience co‑ordinating client teams.
* Strong CRM database experience
* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key firm stakeholders
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
* Flexible approach and good persistence
* Proactive and strong problem‑solving abilities
* Team player
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
