About the Role:
Ivanhoe & Preston - We are currently seeking experienced, compassionate Community Support Workers to join our team located in Ivanhoe & Preston (City of Banyule and City of Darebin Council) to provide high-quality care to clients living with complex disabilities, including supporting individuals who are non‐verbal.
Care Program 1 – INACTIVE NIGHTS
SHIFT 1: TUESDAY 10:00 PM - WEDNESDAY – 11:00 AM
SHIFT 2: WEDNESDAY 10:00 PM - THURSDAY 11:00 AM
Care Program 2
SHIFT 1: MONDAY & WEDNESDAY - 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
The successful candidate must hold the below skillset:
* Bowel Care Management
* Catheter Care
* Manual Handling Hoist
* PEG Care (Feeding and PEJ tube)

Role responsibilities:
* Deliver support care to client with a high complex of disability
* Provide high care including domestic assistance, meal preparation, PEG Feeding, complex Bowel care, manual handling and companionship
* Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments, shopping or community outings.
* Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing.
* Interact respectfully with the client's dog while supporting the client
What we are looking for:
* A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST.
* Fluent in English and very clear communicator
* Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is MUST
* A registered and insured vehicle
* A valid full or probationary Australian driver's license
* Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.
* Experience in either aged care or community is highly desirable.
* Experience with high care clients is highly desirable.
* Current First Aid & CPR certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain.
* Current Police Check (mandatory) or willing to obtain.
* NDIS Worker screening check or willing to obtain.
* Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
